"Midwestern
Auto Group has graciously supported the Dublin Coffman Drama Group this
year through a substantial financial donation. They are also
encouraging employees to attend performances. The drama group has a
long standing history of good performances, but we've not had the funds
to make much of the playbill. It has not always been top notch. For
many decades the shows here at Coffman have been opportuninties for
students to bring what they have learned and practiced to a live local
audience, thousands of these audience members have fond memories in our
shows in the Performing Arts Center. The funds and other support that
Midwestern Auto Group have provided this year have given the drama
students a new sense of just how great the opportunities are in our
drama program. The students are always proud of the performances, but
now that they have some additional funds, they can be proud of the
programs and publicity materials that set the stage in the audiences'
mind before the show even begins.
We
have noticed that the audiences we've had so far this year are
particularly receptive and excited to be at the shows. They are ready
to laugh, applaud and enjoy the show right from the beginning; in part, I
believe to the higher quality materials they see on the way into the
theatre, and the higher expectation that those materials set in motion.
We thank Midwestern Auto Group for positively impacting our performers,
shows, and the whole drama program here at Dublin Coffman High School.
Thanks to Midwestern Auto Group, the show not only goes on... but now
it also goes up! Onward and upward to better and better shows!
